Traction is hiring! We are looking for an Intermediate Architect/Designer to join our team.

Traction is an award-winning architecture practice specializing in creative problem solving for design-focused projects at a variety of scales. We have a collaborative and hands-on studio environment with project types including custom homes, office spaces, cultural buildings, and public art. We were recently recognized by AIA Tampa Bay with the 2021 Firm Award. As we look to expand our firm into larger project types, we are seeking talented candidates with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to provide architectural design, documentation, and project management expertise.  

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

• Professional degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience 

• Experience in managing small to medium scale building projects independently from conceptual design through construction administration

• Ability to prepare and develop a complete set of architectural drawings from schematic design through construction documents, including specifications

• Strong understanding of building and life safety codes

• Excellent design and graphic skills, with the ability to participate in the conceptualization, design and development of projects at a range of scales

• Strong work ethic, proactive, creative thinker who is focused, organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and be flexible

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and management skills with clients, consultants, contractors, and Traction team 

• Extensive Revit and AutoCAD experience and proficiency with Sketchup and Adobe Suite

• Construction / fabrication experience is a plus
